I employed APlan Properties to oversee my construction and finishing of my 7 bedroom villa in Pattaya Thailand. Having already had issues with my 1st contractor and project team I consulted with Darren & Tom at APlan and from the outset they were able to give me clear advice on how to move forward to completion. They understood my needs and my concerns and worked through every point in detail, they also introduced me to their network of suppliers and tradespeople, helping me maximise the products and finish quality that I received, whilst still maintaining my budget. This was a completely different scenario to the original builders & managers that i had employed. These guys were happy to give me the advice and feedback of their experience within Thailand, I found this invaluable. I just wish I had used them from the beginning, but am also so glad I found them as it put back the good feeling to my project, something that I was not sure would always be the case after my original experience with the 1st team. They also assisted to handover, arrange warranty certification and snagging works with the contractors. They ensured a member of their team was on site every day checking quality and workmanship and also Tom and Darren would visit the site personally at least 1 day per week from Phuket. They even assisted me to handover (as I was out of the country) to the new buyer that took over when I sold the property within 2 months of completing. I will be forever grateful for their guidance and help in this project.

About six years ago now I purchased a two bedroom apartment in the Twin Sands condominium. I have to say at the outset I was very cautious because there were so many unknowns. Frankly I encountered a lot of fear mongering when I told people I was considering buying. In retrospect they were all wrong. I had been living in Australia and I wanted to make Thailand my retirement home. I must say that at every step in this process every person connected with A-Plan properties was completely helpful without being intrusive. There was an unfailing attitude to happily assist me with whatever changes and adjustments I wanted to make. In fact I never had to do anything on my own and there was always someone who helped me with every step: the legal steps, the decorating steps, the moving in steps, organizing cleaning steps, etc. This may sound like a funny thing to say but I never once felt abandoned in the process and I still don’t. All those steps matter. Every person kept their word and delivered on their promises and there was not one problem, tension or disagreement in the entire process. Everything has been consistently and consummately fair. Frankly I found it astounding that a process I had so worried about could be so stress free and without one glitch. It was in fact entirely happy making.
After having lived in my apartment for about 2 1/2 years I realized that my worries had been completely ill founded and using my savings I purchased another two bedroom unit for investment purposes. Even my financial planner in Australia agreed that I could probably do better on my investment here than at home. Property prices in west Australia were falling. So I went ahead and I expanded my investment and I have never looked back. Everything in the process was correct, helpful, straight with a laudable integrity. Other people who come and visit here are surprised that I am able to live here.
Virtually everyone tells me I am lucky and indeed I fully recognize that and I am deeply grateful. I think it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and singularly without regret.
